I came across these after actually thinking of a grip design myself and to be fair these are almost the perfect grips. They come in a very nice packet on the front it’s very cool as you can see below, the rear of the packet is full with information on squidgrip.
As you can see at the present moment in time you can buy them for xbox 360 or ps3 but because the ps2 and ps3 have the same shape and size controller it can be used for both. I have spoken to a representative and they are going to be releasing ps4 and xbox one version of this great product.
So what squidgrip have done is release a grip that seems to be not made from rubber or latex which is great because some people react to latex, it seems to be made of foam which is durable on the surface with a soft underlay which provides you with a lovely product that stops sweaty hands sliding around the controller. Now one important thing for any grip maker is to not interrupt the natural contour of the controller and how you hold it and in my opinion they have nailed this perfectly. Now the foam also has antimicrobial element that prevents bacteria growth.
The last plus point is the fact that they are so easy to use they, literally just peel, wrap around your controller and press too stick down. That’s how simple it is, now the only down side I would say about this product is they only come in the plain black colour would be awesome if you could get some other colours. It is more then likely that alternate colours would cost more but I’m sure a fair chunk of the squidgrip fans would be willing to fork out that lil bit extra.
But overall as a grip product I would 100% recommend these to anybody, wether your a casual gamer or hardcore pro you could use these and I would give them a 9/10 and eagerly awaiting the next gen version for my xbox one.
Thanks for reading hope it was helpful.
The watch dog game is one of the games I’m most excited for at this early stage of the next generation consoles, even though this game will be available on the xbox 360 and ps3. When this game is released I will be bringing you guys a full review once I’ve played it on xbox one.
The reason for me eagerly awaiting this game is because it is set to be one of the most interactive games I think we have ever seen, you can go from tapping into security cameras to controlling traffic lights and even hack into each individual persons phone to find out information.
So UBISOFT have set the game in their interpretation of Chicago, within this setting of Chicago they have created a large variety of neighbourhoods varying from your high class to your local suburban ghetto. True to real life you will get the rich corporate business men in the upper class areas while you will have to watch out for the roaming gangs in the ghetto areas. But true to today’s times most of the city is controlled by some sort of software one way or another, so all this software you will be hacking into is controlled by a central operating system which is run by a company called bloom. Apparently since bloom took over crime rates have dropped, people get to work faster and the communications around the city are more reliable and accessible then ever before but it seems that there might be something not so great about them. The game seems to cater for all types of people wether your going to run and gun around the city and objectives or play the stealthy tactical game then UBISOFT have got you covered. There are side events that can effect the way the AI perceive you centring around everyday life depending on if you choose to intervene or not.
So at the moment I’m not going to give away all the details of the story line because then that would take the fun out of the game but it seems to have the potential to be a great game of 2014 but we will have to wait an see if this game will bring all of its potential to the metaphoric table.
I can defiantly say I will be getting this game day of release and I’m sure a few others will be too.
Keep an eye out for my upcoming review on squidgrip.
Razer Sabertooth Controller
I purchased this controller once i broke my normal Xbox 360 one, so i was not only in need of a new controller but i was looking for something to help me towards that next level of gaming. I ordered the razor sabertooth in hope that it could give me the the edge and i have to say right from when the controller arrived i was very impressed. The packaging is very clear with information yet remains attractive and continues with the traditional razor colors of black with the neon green.
When i opened the box i was very surprised but delighted to see that it comes with a nice protective case that the controller sits in as you will be able to see in the pictures below, while this is a nice feature to include it does not take any of the wow factor away from the controller itself. The controller is a good weight, was obviously designed to be comfortable with the rubber coating on the exterior which is soft to the touch but also stops your hands from sliding around the controller while using it for extended periods. The shape of it self is not to dissimilar to the original which is a nice touch but does feel a little smaller which was the one downfall to this controller, the analogues feel very comfortable without compromising the functionality. Another minor yet good point is the the (a, b, y, x) buttons are a lot more sensitive a swell as the triggers ans bumpers.
Now the main feature is the programmable triggers under the controller which allow you to change to any button on the controller for example so that you don’t have to press the bumpers you could just flick the trigger underneath up or down. The programmable feature also allows you have to profiles so you can set two different controller types for instance if you was playing a first person shooter you could have one profile selected, the other profile could be set for any other game you like for instance a sports game. The d-pad buttons are more sensitive which allows for ease of use while the removable wire to the controller is a great feature which is screw on for stability but also allows for transporting easily in the carry case.
So overall i would rate the controller a strong 8/10, as its consistent in all areas. So as the sabertooth is priced at from £70 to £90 i would say definitely worth the price at the lower end.
